Proud Moment

Today was a really great day. Matilda was in a good mood and the rain held off every time that we were outside.

I had a proud parent moment today. Mat's hair is getting really long and has been hanging in her face. B told me that she has been unable to get a barrette in Matilda's hair but I was determined to make it happen.

When we were at Nest (www.nestphilly.com) for class this morning I was browsing through the gift shop and found a red clip. Mat's monkey has a barrette clipped to it's ear so I figured I could convince Mat to wear one. Sure enough we tried it on and she seemed to like it. After that I went to three different stores to find a yellow barrette. I finally found one and Mat loved it.

I was soo proud to walk in the door of J and B's house and show B that I had gotten Mat to wear a barrette. It all sounds soo simple but it was a proud moment for me.
She was really excited to be at her "mommy and me" class. This class is really cool because it's a bunch of 15-minute time blocks of different activities including a craft, songs, free-play, and snack.

While we were eating a snack at Nest, a woman came up to the counter and asked to pay for a barrette that her daughter had put in her hair and didn't want to take out. This sparked an idea. I asked Mat if she wanted to put a barrette in her hair. Surprisingly, she agreed!

Everytime we go to nest they have new toys. This week it was these inflatable cows and the lily pads!

Taking a picture to send to her mom!

Several shops later... I found a yellow barrette. I must say she looks ADORABLE with it in. And much more feminine as well:)
