Penns Landing

Today I took Mat down to Penns Landing to see the boats. I wanted to take her to the Independence Seaport Museum but it closes at 5 and we got down there at 4:50. One of these days we'll get down there in the morning so that we can actually go on the boats.
She was soo excited to see the boats!

I'm not sure of the whole history, or any of the history, behind Penns Landing but I know that it has something to do with William Penn...

She was just as excited to feed the geese and seagulls as she was to see the boats.

The Christopher Columbus Memorial. Constructed in 1992 for the 500th anniversary of Columbus landing in America. Not sure how Columbus is tied to Philly, but whatever.

You can actually make dinner reservations on that boat behind her but the average meal costs $30. Aka out of Cherith's budget.

The Benjamin Franklin Bridge connecting Pennsylvania with New Jersey over the Delaware River.

The white ship is called Olympia and I don't remember what the submarine is called.

Just checking out the boats!
