While we were in Dartmouth, Matilda kept asking to see dinosaurs, so today we went to the Academy of Natural Science to see dinosaur fossils!
I had weighed the options of driving, public transportation, or walking and decided that the walk wasn't too far. It was about 1.7 miles one way. I decided that I needed the workout and the weather was perfect for a long walk. It was around 70 degrees and breezy.
Matilda was VERY excited to see the dinosaurs! (see pictures below). I was surprised that she wasn't more excited to see the butterfly room but I thought it was pretty cool.
After the museum we ate outside in Logan Square. It's a huge round fountain surrounded by a gravel path and benches. Then we walked home.
While Mat was sleeping, I had an adventure of my own... I decided that I was going to give Max a bath. Keep in mind that he is now a 40+ pound puppy. I cut three holes in a garbage bag to make myself a poncho and carried Max up to the third floor bathtub (it has sliding glass doors to keep him in). He wasn't fond of the running water but once I turned it off he started running back and forth in the tub and tried to eat the bubbles. I managed to finish rinsing him off just in time for Mat to wake up from her nap.
After Mat's nap we had our second "A" adventure. We made applesauce! After my initial frustration with the food processor, we chopped up our apples and ate the applesauce. Mat was very excited about it.

Ugh, again with her hands in her mouth!

This is the only butterfly that Matida was happy to see!
