Today was a typical Tuesday. Storytime at the library, art class at Queen Village Art Center, and then our weekly playdate with Amy and Sarah T.
Ever since we said that Mat was "too sick" to go to her Monday classes a few weeks ago, she has been using the same phrase. She thinks that if she's too sick that she'll be able to stay home and snuggle with her momma all day. False.
I've been frustrated with this claim because she is intentionally lying. I'm trying to break her of the habit of saying this. I'm trying to make a connection between illness and lack of adventure. I've also been telling her that only her daddy, her momma, or I can decide if she is "too sick" to do something or go somewhere. It's hard at her age because toddler immune systems are still pretty vulnerable and we don't want to expose other children to whatever germs she may be carrying around. Regardless, we have been venturing out. We are just using twice as much Sani-Hands wipes and hand sanitizer.
