Today we had one last playdate with Stella and Matteo. Ever since Matilda first met them at nest this past winter, they have always been the ones to pull Mat out of her shell. Being twins, they know how to engage children their age and it was always a matter of seconds before they had her engaged in one activity or another. They are 6 months older than her but it doesn't show. Mat keeps up with them physically and emotionally.
We played at their house for a little while and then spent some time at Segar Park. Lunch at a pizzeria on Pine and Broad was the perfect capstone lunch. Mat ate not one but two full slices of cheese pizza as well as some cherry tomatoes and raspberries. I'm still not sure where that child packs that food away. She is up to 34.8 pounds, which is .3 pounds higher than 2 weeks ago but that fluctuates depending on how empty/full her stomach is.
Mat went to sleep really easily today. We've been having some nap wars over the past few weeks but yesterday and today she was asleep by 2:15pm which is awesome! Today she did wake up at 45 minutes of sleeping complaining of a stomach ache, but that seemed to disappear quickly. Her waking up early did give us time to pack.
Speaking of packing, holy crazy chaos. The movers come on Thursday. Today is Tuesday. That gives me now 1 day of work to sort and pack mat's stuff to take to the Cape Cod beach house. I was able to pack most of the toys we're taking today. I packed the Bugaboo, trampoliene, and sports net. Tomorrow I plan to tackle the clothes. I've got it easy in comparison to Sean. I only need to do Mat's room, the 3rd floor closet, and the toys in the loft. He has to do every other room in the house. I'm trying to help him however I can.
I'm trying to keep Mat entertained. She's regressing some with her potty training and I'm trying to ease her transition. She's requesting to do EVERYTHING "one last time" before we leave. This means the Please Touch Museum, The Zoo, SMITH Playplace, Sesame Place, PLUS all of her classes and seeing her friends. I'm just trying to do a little bit of everything in small increments. Yesterday we went down to Penns Landing and hit up Three Bears Park. Tomorrow we have class and I hope to go to SMITH playplace after nap. Thursday we'll do the Zoo and PTM. Friday we'll either go berrypicking at Linvilla or go to Sesame Place. That depends on what J and B have planned for the weekend.
Well that should fill you in on what's up over here. Below are some pictures from this week.
Ladybug wanted a friend to have lunch with her. Turtle was the friend of choice.
nest now sells TOMS shoes. This is the pair I plan to get Mat for her birthday.
"Duck, you're my friend"
Walking around Penn's Landing and feeding the birds. Note to self, Canadian geese do not like bird seed. They do like dried corn kernels though.
Hanging out with Stella and Matteo
Matilda chose to hold her hand!
Priceless
