Boston-Town

We spent Thursday and Friday in Cambridge, MA which is right across the river from Boston.

On Thursday we went on a Charles River boat tour. It was complementary through the hotel. May wasn't overly interested in it but enjoyed it enough. It was a 60 minute ride and she asked me if it was almost over 10 minutes in. She was also confused as to why the boat wasn't going fast. I can agree with we need for speed on that one.

I grew up riding on powerboats in the St. Lawrence River. There's just something so exhilarating about going 40mph on the water. Wind in your hair; water spraying you with the bob of every wave you plow through. Plus there's the additional watersports of tubing and skiing.

Back to Boston. After the boat tour, Mat fell asleep almost immediately and then proceeded to sleep for 3 hours! Which is great because she really needed the rest. After nap we went to a nearby playground and then had dinner with her grandparents.

On Friday we cleaned and packed up the hotel rooms, had breakfast at Au Bon Pain, and then went to the library... for all of 10 minutes. We didn't leave the hotel til 11:30am. We needed to be back to the hotel by 1:15. With an hour of walking to get back and forth from our library destination, and stopping at whole foods for lunch, the time table was pretty tight.

Proudly I admit that we arrived back at 1:14. With the cars loaded, I headed to Worcester to see my best friend. As for J, B, Matilda, and her grandparents? They headed to NYC for the weekend. Travel never stops with this clan.
